The result of division. In −18 ÷ 3, the dividend is −18, the divisor is 3, and the quotient is −6. Apply the sign rules.
Examples
- −18 ÷ 3 = −6 (different signs, negative).

Key rule
Same signs give a positive quotient; different signs give a negative quotient.
