- Lesson 1 Understanding Percent I can read a percent as a rate out of 100 on hundred grids and percent bars, and find what percent a part is of a whole of 10, 20, 25, 50 or 200 by making the whole 100.
- Lesson 2 Fractions, Decimals and Percents I can change percents to decimals and fractions in simplest form, decimals to percents, and fractions with denominators that go into 100 to decimals and percents, always through hundredths.
- Lesson 3 Percent of a Number I can find a percent of a quantity by writing the percent as a decimal and multiplying it by the whole, then check the size with a benchmark such as 10%, 25% or 50%.
- Lesson 4 Finding the Whole I can find the whole from a part and its percent: divide the part by the percent to find 1%, multiply by 100 for the whole, and check that the whole is more than the part.
- Lesson 5 Percent Word Problems I can solve percent word problems by sorting the numbers into the part, the whole and the percent, naming the one that is missing, and using the move that finds it.
- Lesson 6 Converting Units with Ratios I can convert measurements by writing the conversion fact as a ratio, multiplying to change to a smaller unit and dividing to change to a bigger unit, then checking the size of the answer.
