Factor

Definition
A number that divides evenly into another number. In multiplication, the numbers being multiplied are the factors, and the result is the product.

Examples
- In 6 × 4 = 24, the factors are 6 and 4.
- Factor pairs of 24: 1 × 24, 2 × 12, 3 × 8, 4 × 6.
