Zero Exponent

Definition
Any nonzero base raised to the power of zero equals one. This follows from the pattern of dividing by the base and from the quotient rule.

Examples
- 50 = 1, 1000 = 1, x0 = 1 (for x≠0).
- Exception: 00 is undefined.
Key rule
Anything (except 0) to the zero power equals 1.
