Scale Drawing

Definition
A proportional drawing of an object, where all dimensions are reduced or enlarged by the same scale factor. Used in architecture, maps, and engineering.
Examples
- Drawing 6cm × 4cm at scale 1cm=2m gives actual room 12m × 8m.
- Actual size = drawing size × scale factor, or drawing size = actual size ÷ scale factor.
Key rule
Every dimension in the drawing scales by the same factor.
Memory hook
A shrunk or stretched copy, every part scaled the same.
