Range
Algebra 1 · Functions & Sequences
Definition
The range is the set of all output values (y-values) a function produces.
Examples
- For {(1,2),(3,4)}, the range is {2, 4}.
- For y = x^2, the range is y >= 0.
Key rule
List the y-values; the range is all the outputs.
Memory hook
Range = the outputs, the y-values you get back.
