Definition
A ratio comparing one part of a group to the whole group; it can be written as a fraction.
Examples
- 3 teal out of 5 total = 3:5 = 3/5 of the group.
- The second number in the ratio is the total group size.

Part-to-whole ratios can always be rewritten as a fraction.
