8.G.A.2
Definition
A sequence of two or more transformations applied one after another. The final image is labeled with double-prime marks.
Examples
- Translate, then reflect: ABC → A'B'C' → A''B''C''.
- A composition of rigid motions is still a rigid motion — the image stays congruent.
Key rule
Each transformation in the sequence adds a prime mark to the label.
Memory hook
One transformation, then another.
