Definition
The fixed point about which a figure is turned. Every point of the figure maintains its distance from this center during the rotation.
Examples
- The center of rotation can be the origin, a vertex, or any other point.
- Every point of the figure stays the same distance from the center while turning.
Key rule
The center of rotation is the one point that does not move.
