Real math, done right
The proportional-planning work (7.RP.A.3) is done BY the student — twice, by hand, and it's assessed, including the honest “round UP to the cent” rule (rounding down can leave a goal just short at the deadline). A single ~4% APY interest estimate is labeled and cross-referenced to the companion Compound Interest lab, never computed by hand here.
