Definition

V = length x width x height, or base area x height, for a rectangular prism.

Examples

  • V = 5 x 3 x 2 = 30 cubic units.
  • V = 4 x 3 x 2 = 24 cubic units.

The volume of a rectangular prism equals length times width times height, or base area times height.
