Definition
Point-slope form is the linear equation y − y1 = m(x − x1), built from a point (x1, y1) and slope m.
Examples
- Through (2, 3) with slope 4: y − 3 = 4(x − 2).
- Through (0, 1) with slope −2: y − 1 = −2(x − 0).
