Definition
To find a point that divides a segment into a given ratio of lengths.
Examples
- To partition segment AB in a 2:1 ratio, move 2/3 of the run and rise from point A.
- Partitioning a segment in a 1:1 ratio gives the midpoint.

Move the given fraction of the total run and rise, starting from the first point.
