Definition

A side that runs left to right; its length is the difference of the x-coordinates.

Examples

  • Top side from (1,3) to (4,3): length = |4-1| = 3.
  • Subtract the x-coordinates of the endpoints.

Find a horizontal side's length by subtracting x-coordinates.
