Definition
A segment with both endpoints on a circle; the diameter is the longest chord.
Examples
- Any segment connecting two points on the circle's edge is a chord.
- A diameter is a special chord that passes through the center.
Key rule
Every diameter is a chord, but not every chord is a diameter.
